A New Kitty

Caity has just received her first kitten and it has had the added benefit of sparking her imagination.  She has written her first installment of Sarafina's Adventures.  She is very excited about it and has already thought of many adventures incorporating our pet family in every journey.  I, for one, hope that her enthusiasm continues.  Writing is not her favorite thing with all the rules.  Enjoy!

Once upon a time there was a girl named Ro.  She had three cats and one dog but wanted another kitten.  After her vacation, she got her wish and named her kitty Sarafina Fluff.  After some days, Sarafina started to get used to the room and found a way to get to the pool that was down the stairs.  She had to pass the cats, but she did not have to worry about the dog named Franky.
When Sarafina got to the backyard she looked for the kitty pool.  When she got inside there was a door, so she opened the door.  On a rock was seaweed and Sarafina ate the whole thing.  Right there was stairs.  Bravely, she got on the stairs going down.  Sarafina didn't know that the seaweed would make her go under the water.  When she was in the water she said, " I want to go home."
Two mermaids came from the bushes when they heard her.  The two girls names were Ariel and Olive.  "Nice to meet you," said the girls.
"Can you help me?  I'm lost," cried Sarafina.  Ariel knew there was a map in the Cave of Wonders.  After Sarafina found it, she took a picture with Olive and Ariel.  She told them that she would keep them in her heart.  As she was on her way home she made a hole in the Cave of wonders to keep her special adventure pictures.

Dear President Obama,

Hi, my name is Caitlyn Rose Martinez.  You can call me Rose.  I live in Cordova, Tennessee.  I love to sing and dance.  My favorite dream is to meet you.
If I were 18, I would vote for you.  How are you and your family?  I bet the White House has a 100 rooms.  If I am wrong, I will deal with it.
I hope you make the right choices for our country.  I knew you were the one for our country for now.  We are depending on you.  I wish you dreams that will last forever.
Love,
Rose

Happy Presidents Day!

Fads

I am reading the book Ramona Quimby Age 8. Ramona Quimby is always up to something. Each week there is a new fad in the cafeteria. The boy Yard Ape started cracking hard-boiled eggs on his head. It became a popular thing to crack an egg on your head. Ramona followed the fad too, but it was not a hard boiled egg, it was a raw egg.
There are all kinds of fads. I think fads can be fun, because they can make you happy in many kinds of ways. You can have parts of a popular person’s clothes and then put little parts of you in it. You can make your own fad, and someday you might be popular. Go with the flow and have FUN!!!

Wendle

Have you ever heard of a snowman that talked? Of course you have heard of Frosty the Snowman.  This snowgirl has the name WenDieSnow.  Her nickname is Windle. Windle loved snow. One day she met a snowpuppy.

After snow school, Mr. Frosty asked Windle, "Are you ready to go see little children?"
Windle remembered she promised to see her friend Cloley and her new puppy next winter.  Mr. Frosty said they were leaving tomorrow morning to see children,  Early the next day, the Frosty family got on the winter train.  When they got to Cloley's house, everything was gone.  There was just a puppy with a note that said:

Dear Windle,
My family is in sunny New Mexico.  We could not be with our puppy.  It is too much money.  Take it home with you please.
Love, Cloley

Windle was so excited.  When they got home there was a problem.  The dog was not made out of snow.  She remembered how her Mom and Dad were made.  Windle made a snow collar.  She put the collar on the puppy.  Then something awesome happened!  Windle's puppy turned into a snowpuppy!
